Starting April 2009, Nike is scheduled to launch their Nike RT1 campaign with 3 different colorways already lined up: Red/Black, Neutral Grey/Green Mist, & White/Pure Purple.
The Nike RT1 features the ever popular high-top silhouette with an upper composed of a mixture of various materials & textures, smooth leather, perforated leather, crackled leather and suede. A few details from the classic Nike Air Trainer 1, the brainchild of Tinker Hatfield, are seen in each design all the way down to the shoe’s name (RT1 = Revolution Trainer 1) and the borrowed Nike Air logo on the back heel.
The Nike RT1 series will start with the Red/Black model in April, the Neutral Grey/Green Mist pair will drop in May, followed by the White/Purple version in June. Each model is expected to retail for $95.
