Rocawear R+ Evolution | 3 Colorways

Rocawear R+ Evolution | 3 ColorwaysA few days ago, the Rocawear R+ Evolution was introduced the world and the feedback so far hasn’t been pretty. Many are comparing them to the widely popular Air Yeezy and some even calling them out as a cheap imitatation of the Nike RT1 and Supra Skytop.

This hybrid sneaker will release in 3 different colorways, Black, Grey, and Navy, featuring genuine leather, canvas,  and nubuck. Each version has a white midsole, the word “Rocawear” on the ankle, and the “R+” symbol on the tongue.

The Rocawear R+ Evolution is scheduled to release sometime in June 2009 but they’re already available online. Retail $85.

Omarion’s Signature Shoe: The Oboi’s

Omarions Signature Shoe: The Obois Earlier this week, Omarion leaked two photos of his brand new sneaker line on his twitter page which are going by the name, The Oboi’s. Omarion claims that the shoe line will cater to dancers like himself, and will be available in a variety of different colors for both men and women.

The images that leaked show two different colorways, one white and the other red. The over all design of the Obio’s put you in the mindset of the Nike Air Yeezy. Basically, the shoe look like a straight up rip-off of Kanye’s design, all the way down to the interlocking velcro straps, long tongue, and chunky base.

There’s no release date set yet, but I have a feeling between Nike, Kanye, and some disgruntle Air Yeezy fans, these shoes may never reach stores shelves.

Etnies Helps Thousands Of Homeless

Etnies Helps Thousands Of HomelessOver the last decade, Etnies has flowed more than 25,000 pairs of shoes to homeless people living in Los Angeles! The current tough economic times have led to the rise of homeless people in L.A., and on May 10th  (Good Friday) Pierre Andre and a crew from Etnies hung out with the Skid Row residents. Etnies teamed up with the Los Angeles Mission to break through some of the doom and gloom, and provided more than 2,000 men, women, and kids with a hot meal and a brand new pair of Etnies shoes.

“In these tough economic times, there is more reason than ever to help those in need and give back to the causes that touch your heart – for me this is the Los Angeles Mission,” said etnies owner Pierre Andre Senizergues. “For over 10 years my team and I have donated thousands of shoes to the homeless on Skid Row and this year will be no different. Not only because the need will be greater, but because it is this small contribution that can make a difference in someone’s life.”
