Nike “Grip Tape” SB Dunk Low Custom Sneaker

Nike Grip Tape SB Dunk Low Custom Sneaker

Brad Douglas, the same person that shocked Supra fans everywhere with his “Zip It Up!” Supra Skytop, just got finished creating this wonderful pair of the “Grip Tape” SB Dunk Low Customs.

Normally, grip tape is used by skateboarders to add more friction to their skateboards and/or longborads for additional control. However, Brad’s local skate shop asked if he could apply the grip tape to a pair of  SB Dunks, which resulted in the creation of these sick custom sneakers.

The sneaker features an upper made of predominately distressed white leather with sections of grip tape on the tongue, sides, toe, and around the ankle. White threading was used throughout the upper and to the maker’s surprise, blended in with the leather nicely and created a smooth “perforated contrast” stitching look. To top off the customs, Brad added some unique zebra fabric on the inner lining and tossed on a pair of black laces. See detailed pictures after the jump.
