This Nike SB Dunk Low “Off! Bug Spray” Sample is rumored to be the prototype model for the recent “Mosquito” SB Dunk release, which was originally based on the Off! Bug Spray Can. There was a total of five sample pairs made but probably due to copyright issues this particular design was scrapped. The sample sneaker contains a rather simple design of only suede and regular leather in a red/yellow/green colorway, while the released version featured several materials, like 3M coating, speckled midsole, and perforated leather.

To celebrate the launch of the Made For Skate book, the Made For Skate expo will set foot in Amsterdam between November 30th and January 4th. Earlier this week we posted pictures of the “Purple / Orange” Nike SB Dunk Low Pro, but we only had a little background information to go by. However, after a little digging we found out that a pack of three Nike SB Dunks (Hi, Mid, & Low) will release to honor the Skateboarders of the 90’s. Back then the fashion trend for skaters were baggy jeans and big shirts, basically the exact opposite of the fitted/tight fad that’s going on now. All three sneakers feature an image of the typical 90’s Skateboarder on the insoles dressed in shorts, a tee, and fitted cap to match each colorway. This Nike SB Dunk High is the second sneaker from the pack and features a Christmas-esuqe colorrway of red and green. The sneaker contains red suede on toe and lacing area, some sort of green material on the sides and back heel, black suede on the Nike swoosh, and a gum midsole stacked on top of a black sole. You can look for this Dunkand the rest of the pack to drop in 2009.

When we first ran across this Nike Dunk it was going by the nickname “Soda Pop” and rumored to be inspired by the popular soda company, Cola-Cola. They were set to drop in April 2009 but now the release date is being push forward to December. This new release date fits perfectly with the colorway since the green/red/white/brown colors seems more like a Christmas design. Expect to see this Nike SB Dunk High at select retailers before the year is out.

Checkout this cool new ultra limited Nike SB Dunk Low Pro that just surfaced online. They offer an interesting blend of purple denim around the toe, lacing area, and back heel, orange suede covering the toe box, sides and ankle, and black suede on the Nike swoosh. It’s suppose that a pro skateboarder could have designed this model because images of a skateboarder wearing a orange tee and purple shorts are featured on the insoles. The official release date is unknown but the Chinese website HeizhusShoes currently have them in-stock.
