Nike [Battle Beast] Dunk Hi Customs

Nike [Battle Beast] Dunk Hi Customs

If your familiar with the phrase, “Fire! Wood! Or Water!… You’ll never know until you own them!”, then you’ve probably seen or heard of the popular 80’s/90’s collectible toy series, Battle Beast. These toys were basically a spin-off of the Transformers and even at one point were referred to as BeastFormers. Recently, Yoakustoms took on the task of creating a pair of custom sneakers to pay tribute to the Battle Beast collection. The sneaker features a nice fading of red and orange through the upper with out-stretching trees placed beside the toe-box and back heel. The toe-box also sports the Battle Beast logo with a detailed depiction of a deranged Slowpoke Sloth on the back heel and a pair of orange laces thrown on to top off the sneakers. Checkout the original commerical for Battle Beast after the jump along with more pictures of the customs.

Nike Air Trainer Carnivore Custom Sneaker

The Nike Air Carnivore receives a lot of mixed messages among the sneaker community, with some loving them while others hate them. The custom sneaker sports the original black and green colorway of the Nike Air Carnivore with purple accents, and features a black and white cracked design along the mid-sole. Nike [Decay] Air Force 1 Low Customs

Nike [Decay] Air Force 1 Low Customs

Sekure D recently finished a personal order for a friend of his and this was the end result, the Nike [Decay] Air Force 1 Low. The custom sneaker sports a black/white/blue colorway with black accents along the side panels, toe-box, and back heel. Abstract designs decorate a majority of the leather upper with purple globs of decay, streaking blacks lines, and a dripping black substance. Sekure was very happy with the out come of the design, even though he didn’t like working with the white/white Air Force One as a base. More pictures after the jump.

Nike [?uestlove] Air Max 90 Custom Sneaker

Nike [?uestlove] Air Max 90 Custom Sneaker

Inspired by the recent release of the Nike x ?usetlove [Air Questo] Air Force One , Mache decided to create his own custom pair, using the Nike Air Max 90: St. Patty’s Day 2007 as his base. Mache probably would have gotten the original pair, but he just didn’t have the time to campout in any of the long lines, so this was his next best option. The sneaker features the same colorway as the ?uestlove Air Force Ones, with a green cracked design along the mid-sole and around the lacing, burgundy accents on the tongue, toe-box, and back heel, and he even add ?uestlove’s profile silhouette on one of the tongue tags. Nike [Haitian] Dunk Hi Customs (Made for Wyclef Jean)

Nike [Haitian] Dunk Hi Customs (Made for Wyclef Jean)

Even though Wycelf Jean is in debt with Jacob the Jeweler, that didn’t stop him from getting these fresh custom sneakers made up. Wyclef is known to have the utmost proud and respect for his Haitian heritage, so it was only fitting that he had these customs created by Mache paying homage to his country’s flag. The sneakers sport a simple red colorway with black accents on the Nike swoosh, back heel, and toe-box. The shoes also feature a waving Haitian Flag on each side panel and the wording “ZOE” on the rear heels which pretty much translates into “Haitian Boy”. More pictures after the jump. Ice Cream Board Flip [The Prequel] Custom Sneakers (Made for Pharrell)

Ice Cream Board Flip [The Prequel] Custom Sneakers (Made for Pharrell)

Mache recently got the honor of creating these wonderful pair of custom sneakers for rapper / producer Pharrell Williams. Mache took the two most familiar graphics connected to the Ice Cream Line, the Ice Cream Cone Face and the Running Dog, and gave them a bit of his own flavor. One sneaker features a tripped out ice cream cone with cross bones in the background and has two devilish looking eyes made out of cherries. The other shoe sports the famed Running Dog with a psychotic looking grin on his face. Overall the customs have a black / yellow / red colorway and a pair of yellow laces. Mache finishes off the custom sneakers with the trademark Ice Cream logo on the back heel and custom tongue tags on each shoe. More pictures after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
