Nike “Ultimate Wolverine” Dunk High Customs

May 1, 2009 by Roland   | 2,430 Views

Nike Ultimate Wolverine Dunk High CustomsEnough though X-Men Origins: Wolverine leaked online weeks before it’s debut in theaters, it’s still projected to earn a whopping $92 Mil in sells over this weekend. The movie  focuses on the violent past of the mutant Wolverine and his time spent with Team X, before his skeleton was bonded with the indestructible metal adamantium.

Coincidentally, Mizzee Customs was recently asked to design a custom sneaker based on Wolverine. Instead of basing the shoe on the Wolverine character from X-Men Origins, Mizzee decided to work with the “Ultimate” version of Wolverine. The Ultimate Wolverine appeared in four Marvel comics that placed him in a on-going battle against the Hulk.

The “Ultimate Wolverine” Nike Dunk High features a black, white, and orange color scheme and a yellow bottom sole. Both shoes display a wonder depiction of  Wolverine doing what he does best, slicing and dicing with his adamantium blades. The shoes also show his calmer side with him posed in a meditated state on the opposite side of each sneaker. There’s even a custom shoebox included that have Wolverine slash marks and all.

Nike Air Yeezy | Custom Gay Fish Edition“Do you like Fishsticks?” ….”Then what are you, a gay fish?”

By now, just about everyone has either seen or heard about last week’s South Park episode, Fishsticks, where Kanye West failed to understand the quoted joke above. He couldn’t admit that he didn’t get it because he claimed to be a genius, and tried to research for the answer throughout the entire episode. Eventually, Kanye realized that he was indeed a “Gay Fish” and returned to his under water world, ending the episode with a hilarious “Gay Fish” parody of his song, Heartless.

An unknown artist decided to create a special “Gay Fish” Nike Air Yeezcustom sneaker in honor of the recent Fishsticks episode. Using the “Zen Grey” Air Yeezy as the base, the artist incorporated all the colors of the gay flag (red, orange, yellow,  green, blue, purple) on the upper and the Nike swoosh, as well as adding a nice gradient midsole.

The “Gay Fish” Air Yeezy is now available on Osneaker. Price $1,500.

Nike “The Truth” Dunk High Customs | Paul Pierce

April 11, 2009 by Roland   | 1,503 Views

Nike The Truth Dunk High Customs | Paul Pierce The Boston Celtics are comfortably set as the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference,  and if the playoffs started today they would have to face the Chicago Bulls. The Celtics have had their fair share of ups and downs this year, but recently their biggest hit thus far may carry into the playoffs, the lose of Kevin Garnett. The big three (Kevin, Paul, and Ray) were the main cause for their huge success last year, but without Kevin Garnett at 100% their chances of  a repeat are dwindling. However, Paul Pierce is making it his duty to pick up the slack and carry the Celtics deep into the playoffs if he has to.

At the request of an avid Boston Celtic fan/blogger, Yoakustom created these fresh pair of Nike Dunks to pay homage to Paul Pierce. The customer originally was just going to get a pair of Paul’s signature Nike Air Max P2 basketball sneakers, but later he learned that they  were only made in kid sizes. So, he did the next best thing, and had his own custom sneaker created.

The Nike “The Truth” Dunk High Customs feature a white leather base with green accents around the toebox, swoosh,  lacing area, and heel. A contrasting white shamrock is placed by the toe, Paul Pierce’s nickname “The Truth” is print one the heels, and a wonderful portrait of Paul Pierce is drawn along the sides. If your a Celtics fan or sneaker fan you got to love the attention to detail on these dope kicks. See detailed pictures and a video of Paul highlights after the jump.
