Converse announced today a long-term, strategic partnership with professional basketball star Elton Brand to create signature performance basketball footwear available exclusively at JCPenney locations nationwide. The shoe features a sleek midfoot strap for lockdown, with a ventilated upper to enhance breathability and a molded sockliner to provide comfort. The shoe is constructed of durable leathers to sustain the wear from Brand’s gritty style of play. Brand’s “EB” logo, which features his initials and the letter “D” that pays homage to his mother Daisy and his Dunbar eights neighborhood near Peekskill, NY, is embossed on the midfoot strap. Converse’s Elton Brand line will launch with the EB1, a signature performance basketball shoe Brand will debut for the 2008-09 basketball season. The EB1 will retail for $65 and is available exclusively at JCPenney on Nov. 1, 2008. The shoe will roll out in additional colorways through Spring 2009. Converse will introduce the WADE 4 signature shoe at the start of the 2008-2009 NBA season. The WADE 4 Signature shoe will feature three different colorways; a white, black, and red color scheme, a black and white colorway that features orange/red designs along the midsole, and another colorway that will be announced later. Weighing in as the lightest WADE signature shoe to date at 14 ounces, the WADE 4 provides advanced support and breathability. This is the newest basketball sneaker from the Dwayne Wade camp, the Converse Dwayne Wade IV (4) [United We Rise]. Wade actually wore this sneaker during the Men’s Basketball Olympic Games, all the way up to the Finals. The sneaker features a white colorway with hints of navy blue along the mid-sole and on the tongue, as well as a red inner lining. Converse x FALSE – Chuck Taylor High

It would appear that Converse has collaborated with the label FALSE (label created in 2005 by Messiah and Amanda Scully, underlining the fact-hand) on a pair of Chuck Taylor High. The shoe is all black, with the logo “LIBERATORS” on the tongue, and little originality, the system will lacets closure is complemented by a system of straps on which we find the logo FALSE.
