Bathing Ape Bapesta | Croc-Skin Spongebob Edition

2009 marks the 10th Anniversary of the cartoon show Spongebob Squarepants and it seems Pharrell Williams & A Bathing Ape might have something in the works to celebrate this milestone.

Pharrell recently posted some mysterious pictures of himself wearing these Spongebob Bapestas on his blog. They have a striking resemblance to the 2008 version that A Bathing Ape released just a few months ago but with a little twist to the design.

The sneaker sports a sophisticated yellow crocodile skin theme, a white midsole, a gum sole, and a picture of Spongebob’s face by the heel. Currently,  there’s no real info available on a release date but check back for more updates.

Bathing Ape [Bapesta88] (Metallic Gold & Silver)

Featured in this year’s Bathing Ape Fall/Winter Collection are these stylish metallic gold and silver Bapesta88s. These eye catching kicks released in both a metallic gold and metallic silver colorway with each available in a low and high cut. The Batesta88 Hi retails at about $180 and the Low retails at about $170. Both are now available at most Bape retailers. See detailed after the jump.

A Bathing Ape – [Bapesta 88 Low]

Just the other day we were informing people about the Bape Socksta, but now we’re back with some more Bape products, the Bapesta 88 Low. The sneakers will be available in four different colorways: white/red, white/blue, white/black and white/brown. The tongues have “BAPE” printed in large lettering, the Bape logo is on the side of the toe-box, the phrase “A Bathing Ape” is printed on the side panels, and each shoe features a nice safari pattern. Bathing Ape (Bape) Socksta

Most people are calling this new Bape model the “Socksta”. The shoe looks like a sock on top, but has a sole of a shoe. It’s suggested that the upper is made of neoprene. This seems like a nice beach shoe, great for wearing in and out the water. The shoes are now available in four different colorways at select Bape retailers.

Bathing Ape (Bape) Canvas Sneakers

Bathing Ape are going to try something a little different this Summer with their sneakers. Their going to take on some canvas based shoes, instead of their Air Force One inspired sneakers. The new design is similar to Chuck Taylors or Converse Allstars and will be released in high and low designs. The canvas sneaker are now available in three different colorways at select Bape retailers everywhere. Read more

Bape Summer 2008 – [Roadsta & Bapesta Sandals]

Bape have been in full swing in capitalizing on the the Summer Fashion so far this year, but know they’re in the process of release their new Bape Roadstas and Bapesta Sandals. They feature a wide range of color options, including their normal bright colors and a few toned down colorways as well. My personal favorites are the Black and Grey colorways, but take a look for yourself and pick out your favorites.
