Custom Air Jordan I (1) High [Turquoise / Mint]

Sharp020 aka “S02″ is an outstanding sneaker artist that’s well respected among the other customizing elites. For his latest custom sneaker he decided to step outside the normal concept of just painting a pair of kicks and constructed a whole new one.

Starting with just an Air Jordan 1 Low “North Side Regional Edition”, scraps of patent leather and some extra suede material, S02 went to work constructing this Custom Air Jordan I (1)”High”.

The sneaker features a white, turquoise, and mint color scheme with a combination of suede & crackled patent leather on the upper. There’s grey stitching that outlines the base, a fat tongue, an icy sole, and also a pair of custom tongue tags included to finish the sneaker off. S02 gave the custom to a close friend for Christmas so it’s not available for purchase, but you can gladly contact him to have your own pair made. See detailed pictures after the jump.

It borrows certain elements of the Air Jordan VII (7) and adds the latest technology available for basketball performance sneakers, which includes an interior Zoom Air unit and herringbone on the out-sole. A total of five colorways will drop in the Spring of 2009 with 3 dropping on January 17th, 2008 and 2 more on March 7th, 2008.

The sneaker is composed of a white leather upper, a black / grey speckled midsole, and a red Jordan Jumpman on the tongue. The highlight of the kicks are the laser etched designs around the lacing area that resemble past Air Jordan releases. Expect to see this Air Jordan Dub Zero on store shelves April 18th, 2009, but for the time being Marquee Sole has a few in stock. Retail $160.

Lately, we’ve been stressing the point that Jordan Brand is stuck on their first love, the Air Jordan I (1) High. We previously reported the Air Jordan I (1) Blue Sapphire & Air Jordan I (1) Infrared are due to release in the first two months of 2009, but now you can look forward for this new Air Jordan I (1) High Premier Pewter as well. The upper features metallic, pewter leather with a max orange inner lining, black midsole, black Jordan Wing logo, and black laces. The Air Jordan I (1) High Premier [Pewter] drops February 14th, 2009 for a retail price of $115.
