Nike “Digg” Air Force 1 (One) Customs
November 13, 2008 by Roland | 699 Views | Leave a Comment
Solebrother recently had the opportunity to create a custom sneaker for Matt Van Horn of Digg (the world’s largest social news website), which resulted in this “Digg” Air Force One Custom. The sneaker presents a spiffy Digg color scheme of blue and two shades of green, which represents the Digg top menu, as well as manilla, which represents the Digg Icon that appears next to each Digg post. However, the best part about the sneaker is the cool glow-in-the-dark “Digg” patterns that appear along the side panels. There was a total of six pairs made, five pairs were given to the Digg Staff and the sixth pair was signed by Kevin Rose (Founder of Digg), Jay Adelson (CEO of Digg), and then given back to Solebrother. The other AF1 has a mid-cut and sports a similar design to the AF1 Low. It features a white back heel and side panels with a red midsole and toe, as well as some glossy red elephant print on toe area. Expect to see both kicks dropping sometime next year, but we’ll keep you posted on their official release date.

Back in October we posted a grey Nike Air Force 1 (One) High that featured a large amount of elephant print that seemed to spread from the top of the ankle to the sole, but now this blue/white version has surfaced. The sneaker features the same elephant print design, removable ankle strap, and premium leather upper but in a blue and white color scheme. There’s no real information on a release date but like the grey/white version, it’s expected to drop sometime in Spring 2009. See detailed pictures after the jump.

Not to be out done by the Nike Unkle x Chi McBride Air Force 1 (One) Hybrid, DJ Clark Kent was seen wearing his own hybrid sneaker at the Nike Sportswear store, the Nike Supreme Dunk SB Low x AF1Hybird. The sneaker has the details of the classic Black Dunk Supreme SB Low with a mixture of black leather and elephant print, but housed in a Nike Air Force 1 (One) base. There’s no word of how many were made, so for now this is a DJ Clark Kent one of a kind exclusive.
