Nike [Joker] Air Force One Custom Sneaker

Nike [Joker] Air Force One Custom Sneaker

The Dark Knight may have released months ago, but that didn’t stop Mache from whipping up these unbelievable custom sneakers based on “The Joker”.  Mache used a simple but effective “One Night Only” AF1 color blocking system, with him coloring the toe purple pinstriped to resemble moving fabric like the Joker’s pants in the movie and leaving the rest of the upper (besides the artwork) off-white. The sneaker features a wonderful picture of Heath Ledger portrayal of the Joker along the right shoe, with the quote “Why so serious?”, and the “Joker’s Card” (which is exactly like the one in the movie) with ‘Here’s My Card” spelled out on the heel of the left shoe. The tags, lace locks and heel tabs are all painted in the same green hue like the Joker’s hair. See more pictures after the jump.

Limited-Edition DC Comics Super Hero / Super Villain Shoes

Limited-Edition DC Comics Super Hero / Super Villan Shoes

Usually you see the most popular comic book characters decked out on stylish footwear for young children, but ACI International now has plans to offer adults the same opportunity with DC Comics-licensed, limited edition sneakers. The sneakers will use the famous Nike Air Force One as their base and feature designs inspired by DC Comic super heroes and super villains. Starting Sept. 29th, Limited Soles will begin stocking their shelves with a series of three sneakers based around a Batman, Superman, and Joker theme, with each individually numbered for authenticity and packaged in comic boxes. The pairs will be produced in a number identical to the number of years each character has been in existence. For example, there will be only 1,939 pairs of the Batman shoes because Batman first appeared in 1939. There will only be 1,940 pairs of the Joker model, and the Superman model will be the rarest coming in at 1,938 pairs.
